The relay will start at the Port-Vila International Airport where Her Excellency Karen Bell, British High Commissioner, will officially launch the journey of the baton in Vanuatu by giving it to the Hon. Prime Minister, Bob Loughman Weibur. The journey of the baton will continue until the Lini Nakamal where it will rest for the day. Indeed, the 21st of February being a public holiday and the celebration of the Father of the Nation and Independence of Vanuatu, the baton will not go further.

The journey will pursue the next day, Tuesday 22nd of February. It will start from the Lini Nakamal to go all the way to Mele road, passing in front of Vanuatu Brewing Limited, Wan Smol Bag theatre, K2, Port-Vila Golf, Mele Cascade, Vanuatu Sky Bridge, Tanna Coffee… to finish at the Beach Bar. Again, the Baton will rest for the night.

Wednesday 23rd of February will be dedicated to the youth with the Beach Sport festival. During a day, students will be able to discover several sports that will take part in the Commonwealth Games such as Aquatics, Weightlifting, Cricket, Rugby, Beach Volleyball, etc. This event will take place on Mele Beach and will start at 8am.

The relay will start again for the final day on Thursday 24th of February with a relay in the centre of Port-Vila among the Ministries and special places like the seafront or handicraft market.

A farewell ceremony will be held on the Seafront to mark the end of the incredible journey and hand it over to our neighbours of Kiribati.
