Newly appointed Vanuatu cricket captain Nalin Nipiko feels blessed to be given the leading role of the national team.
Nipiko took over from outgoing captain Andrew Mansale who has stepped down from his position which he was holding for more than a decade.
“First of all i want to congratulate Andrew Mansale for his leadership which has taken the team to where it is today.
“ I would like to thank VCA for giving me the honour to take on this role as a new captain of Vanuatu,” Nipiko said.
“ I will do my best to take the team to another level, like other captains have done before.
“ I would like to thank all the supporters of Vanuatu and around the world, for their support from previous years till today.
“ I also would like to ask to continue with your support in years to come.
“ My appointment to be Vanuatu captain is the biggest achievement of my cricket career and i know with the support of VCA and everyone cricket will grow under my leadership.
“ I look forward to work with all of you,” he added.
