Vanuatu Sport’s most innovative and influential figures will take centre stage after a stellar line-up of speakers was finalised ahead of the first ever Vanuatu Athletes Forum 2019 in Port Vila.
Representatives of sports federations, stakeholders, governing bodies, public- and private-sector organisations will offer vital insights as part of the agenda on the 29th of October 2019 from 8am to 1pm at the Grand Hotel.
The inaugural event is organised by VASANOC for sport federations and their athletes. VASANOC CEO, Henry Tavoa will offer small sessions alongside Anolyn Lulu, VASANOC Sport for Development Officer. A series of speakers, including many with experience of being under the glare of the sporting spotlight, will then provide a series of unmissable perspectives, with topics including Nutrition, Sports Ambassador Talks, Athletes Scholarships/Grants, Goal Setting/Mental Preparation, Facing the Media & Athletes Commission 2020 Plans.
Anolyn Lulu, says: “This event is the first of its kind in Vanuatu and is much needed from an athletes perspective. By allowing athletes to better access knowledge and resources available to them we hope it will inspire them to be better and to create bigger and better futures for themselves as role models and athletes"
The Athletes Forum 2019 will bring together athletes and leaders from over National Sports Federations, with delegates discussing best practice in an intimate environment.
