Vanuatu Volleyball Federation has attended a 3-day ‘Leading and Managing People Workshop’ held at Chantilly’s Hotel in Port Vila.
The workshop was delivered under the auspices of the Let’s Swim program as a part of the Australian Government funded Pacific Sports Partnerships initiative. It is designed to help strengthen governance and management practices in sporting organisations.
The workshop was facilitated by Joan Johnson – a leading regional expert in organisational development, change management and leadership development who has worked extensively with regional sporting organisations, like Oceania Swimming, across the Pacific.
Some of the organisations which participated in the workshop were Vanuatu Basketball, VASANOC, Vanuatu Cricket, Wan Smolbag, Vanuatu Football, Aquatics and Vanuatu Volleyball.
VVF President, Debbie Masauvakalo was impressed with the learnings over the three days.
Joining the VVF boss was Pelagie Maho, VVF Finance Officer and 2019 Pacific Games Beach Volleyball Team Manager. She too thought there was a lot of important information delivered in the workshop which will contribute to her work.
VVF would like to thank Oceania Swimming and the Australian Government for supporting this workshop and to everyone who participated over the three days in making it a successful and important activity for sports organisations in Vanuatu.
